I thought that this film was, first of all, beautiful. Well edited, great cinematography, etc, etc. It was a great commentary on where our society could end up in a few years. I think that the idea of technology like the sight program or google glass is great in theory. You could know someone's name if your forgot, you could have an easily accessible navigation system, new styles of film, among other things. However, it would be very difficult to keep people from abusing this power. The amount of things that could go wrong with facial recognition and even easier access to information is unfathomable. Also, I think it would suck to be able to know everything about a person without even talking to them. We literally wouldn't have anything to talk about anymore. I hope we never get to the place where everything is so programmed and fake like it was in the film. The video was very interesting, but also very anxiety provoking. It showed the good and bad side to this new kind of technology.
I am enjoying the media design course so far. I wish that we would take things a little slower and go a bit more in depth with the actual artistic design of the websites. I'm sure we will get there soon though. I kind of find the instructors pace and vibe stressful, but it's not unbearable. Overall, I like the instructor and the class.

Two Trends
1. Micro UX
This style pays attention to the details. With stylish menus, transitions, progress indicator(seen below) and a great hover option makes it very simple and pleasing to the eye.
2. ELI
This style uses less text. It is awesome for portfolio websites or digital media. I could see instagram or tumblr adapting this. A lot of blogs on tumblr already use this.
